Presentation to: Economics 202 class: People, Planet, and Profit: Introduction to Sustainability in Business.

In November of 2013, Pope Francis released a letter to the world entitled “The Joy of the Gospel.” In that letter, he asks Catholics and all people of good will to address a number of important, contemporary issues. In particular, he urges all of us to question and work to change current economic theories and practices. We will examine and discuss some of Pope Francis’ letter connecting the Joy of the Gospel to how we can re-imagine and re-shape the economy so that it better serves all people, especially the poor.
